We've allowed the scum of the earth to overtake our government.

This just in.

RNC cuts off Moore

The national party pulls out of a fundraising pact with the Alabama candidate, further isolating him.
Its very, very difficult to dispel ignorance if you retain arrogance.

It’s a good start.

I ask because I see a huge difference in a 14 year old child and a 22 year old woman. Lewenski was 22 years old.   I can talk about my experience. I once WAS a 14 year old child. Then at 22 I got married.

At 14 I was taken by a neighbor and his wife (who was keeping me at their house while my parents were in another state for a few days) to a sleezy bar on a highway going out of New Orleans. There were a number of older drunk men there. This neighbor bought beer for me. I don't/didn't like it so I didn't drink it.  He went to the bar and came back with one of his drunken friends for me to dance with the guy. I didn't want to. Everybody in the bar was brought into the act and they all encouraged me to dance with the drunk man. I told Lit (the man who brought me there) I wanted to go home. He jeered at me and tried to make me feel ungrateful for his letting me stay at his house by refusing to dance with his drunken friend. I asked his wife if I could go sit in the truck. She sneered at me. They were both drunk by then.  The bartender came over to me and pulled me aside: "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. You can sit in the back room if you want to."

Finally, Lit and his wife decided to be friendly again and came to get me to go home. I slept on their sofa that night. Then I went home the next day. I walked. They were not being very friendly the next day.

That night at the bar I didn't know what to do. I wanted to leave but couldn't figure out how to do that.

When I was 22, like Lewenski, I would have known to call another friend and ask them to get their parent to come get me. That thought never occurred to me the night before. I also didn't consider calling the cops. Never once occurred to me.

That was in the early 50's. If there were laws against kids being in bars it didn't seem to be enforced.  After Lit quit his job with my father he and wife bought a bar and there they raised their two little girls. In the bar.

When I was 22 I not only knew what to do in such situations, I had the means to get out of a place or situation if I didn't want to be there.

At 14 I did not.

I hope there is nobody in here who isn't able to see the difference.

First, I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm glad it didn't go as badly as it could have.

Yeah. It's a different thing. Lewenski had an unequal power dynamic with Clinton, which still makes the relationship wrong, but it isn't pedophilia. I'll admit that I didn't think about the power dynamics at the time. I figured sleeping around was an issue between the participants and the Mrs, and by most accounts Lewenski was the one who initiated the contact. She also was the one who lost the most after it became public - another aspect of the power dynamic.

But it doesn't change the fact that Bill Clinton isn't in office or running for office. Moore is. Or that one of them is a pedophile. That'd be Moore.

Start a different thread about Clinton if you want. We could talk about it. But they really are two different situations, one of which is being used to distract everyone from the fact that a pedophile is running for senate in Alabama.

About forking time. Now if they'd care to suggest a write-in that isn't Sessions, we'll be off to the races.

Big Luther Strange, but last I heard he wasn’t real interested in being a write-in.

Exactly.

Apples to oranges, with further extenuating circumstances considering she worked for him.

Even if you consider that Lewenski may have been the aggressor from the start and I had not heard anything to suggest she was, plus we all know that Bill was fishing for willing women from the day he turned thirteen it would be difficult to assume she was 100% at fault here.  BUT she was 22.... not 14.

Ah well... every time you give an R hell for something (as we are doing Moore) you get... but what about Bill Clinton... or it's Obama's fault... or Lock her up!

That's true even when the circumstances are not even in the same world.
