Winter
#1
UNDER THE STREET - It's Thursday & there's only one more after this.  Well, only one more this year, not forever, so stay calm.
asked under the space heater in your drafty living room

Winter is officially underway.  What are the best features of the winter season?

Watching doggies romp in the snow

Cozied up & relaxing inside

Springtime is only three months away, DST even less

Gay anthems.

It's possible to become so defiled in this world that your own father and mother will abandon you, and if that happens, God will always believe in your ability to mend your ways.

The best feature of winter is the Caribbean.

Into the great hall they come,
On the shortest day
Merrily they carol
And merrily they pray.
The holly wreath is offered
As they light the fire.
The old Yule log it's kindling,
Flaming the new one higher.
Then the dance begins,
And celebration reigns.
The Winter King is dead
The Sun breaks loose its chains.
Down the icy paths of time,
Ever the Winter King rules
Until the Sun shakes off the rime
To welcome in the Yule.

Boarding the plane for the mountains so I can bring in the Yule by freezing my arse of!!
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung

Heap on more wood! the wind is chill;
But let it whistle as it will,
We'll keep our Christmas merry still,
We'll keep our Christmas merry still,
Each age has deem'd the new-born year
The fittest time for festal cheer;
And well our Christian sires of old
Lov'd when the year its course had roll'd.
