Some gooses...
BTW, I took one long poke at a goose with Fiocchi 3.5" 12 ga. 1 9/16 oz. steel T load. Kicks like a government mule and had bad gun mount on overhead shot. Ouch. Icing shoulder. To boot, ejected shell hit right ground blind door and ricocheted back on my ear. Another ouch. Shirt happens. "Suck it up buttercup."
Back out there Saturday.
Go away.

Anybody here ever been bomb-pooped? I have but not by geese thank g'ness. I was a skinny little 5th grader who was unbelievably shy and had no friends. Brand new down in St Bernard. My sister and I were the only kids int he whole school who were Baptist. The rest were Catholic. The church was on the school grounds and the priest and nuns ran the school even though it was a St Bernard Parish state school. No problems there. The priest and nuns were kind to us. The kids, urged on by their parents, hated us and threw rocks at us. I was in the worst position to ever have something like this happen.

As I sat on the bench by myself and watched the other kids playing hopscotch a bird pooped on my shoulder. SPLAT!! And another kid saw it. They all started laughing and pointing. One kid yelled, laughing, "A Catlick bird!"  I spell it that way only because that's how the Cajun people talked. They called it Catlick. And that was okay too. I liked the way, and still do, Cajuns talk. (My future step-father would be a Cajun.)

Anyways, it was bad but that was the first time in my life I refused to cry and it worked. No tears. So after a few minutes a girl came and put her arms around me and took me to the bathroom to try to clean it off my white blouse. Didn't work but she did make the kids stop. They seemed too ashamed after she helped me.  A nun took me home because the poop wouldn't come out. Strange thing. After that day nobody threw rocks at us from the school bus window as we got off the bus at home anymore. I grew up thinking kids are not as mean as their parents. They understand some things a little better. Life then goes on, as they grow up, to make them forget anything but their prejudices.

If I don't answer when you talk to me or about me, that's likely because I have you on ignore.  Try to PM me. It won't let you PM me if I have you on ignore. There are other people, not members, who peruse this site. I want THEM to know why I don't reply to everyone who talks to or about me.
